While the Fantastic Four are still getting settled after their return to the Marvel Universe, the Future Foundation, the next generation of Marvel super-geniuses, is about to join them.

This July's Fantastic Four #12 promises "the saga of the Future Foundation" in a back-up story from writer Jeremy Whitley and artist Wil Robson. Marvel made the announcement today during a flurry of other announcements about this July's upcoming releases.

Created in 2010 by Jonathan Hickman and Steve Epting, the Future Foundation is a gathering of Earth's greatest young minds that Reed Richards established to help find solutions to the world's biggest problems.

The organization has included various noteworthy members over the years, including Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, She-Hulk, and Franklin and Valeria Richards, Reed and Sue Storm's children. The Foundation traveled with the Richards family across the multiverse to repair it following the events of Secret Wars.

Fantastic Four #12 will also feature a core story written by Dan Slott and drawn by Sean Izaakse. Taking place after the wedding of the Thing and longtime girlfriend Alicia Masters, the two take honeymoon on a remote island. Things go swell, at least until the Hulk shows up, and the two have yet another one of their famous brawls.
