Marvel, whose relationship with Wizard Entertainment soured in the waning years of the magazine, has teamed with Wizard World for a series of convention-exclusive covers.

They debut next month with Neal Adams' color and black-and-white sketch variants for Miracleman #1, available next month at Portland Comic Con, and Miracleman #2, available in February at New Orleans Comic Con. More exclusive variants will follow at each of Wizard World's 14 other conventions across the country.

Limited to 3,000 copies, the color version of Miracleman #1 will be given for free to VIP attendees at registration; the black-and-white variant is limited to 2,500 copies, and will be available for sale at the Wizard World Store. Adams will be signing at each of the conventions.

“As Wizard World adds shows across America, Marvel is pleased to be a part of their continued expansion,” David Gabriel, Marvel's senior vice president of sales and publishing, said in a statement. “We’re giving each cover the all-star treatment. With the biggest creators and the best characters on-board, we want each attendee’s Wizard World experience to be as special as possible.”

Portland Comic Con will be held on Jan. 24-26 in Portland, Oregon, followed by New Orleans Comic Con on Feb. 7-9.
