Absolute Carnage Unleashes 'Carnage-ized' Covers on the Marvel Universe

In anticipation of the Absolute Carnage event, Marvel released a slew of variant covers that portray 'Carnage-ized' versions classic superheroes.

From action figure variants to music-themed covers, Marvel has never passed up a good gimmick. The company's upcoming event Absolute Carnage seems to be no exception. In anticipation for the Carnage-themed event, Marvel released a slew of variant covers that portray "Carnage-ized" versions classic superheroes.

These covers were first showcased during the C2E2 retailer panel last weekend, but now Marvel has released even more art from this slew of variants. Of course, Marvel hasn't released all of the variants for the event just yet, but the series will consist of a whopping 25 covers.

Carnage is one of Spider-Man's most notorious foes and, this summer, he is poised to become one of the greatest threats to the Marvel Universe at large. Take a look at some of the variants below, which feature iconic heroes donning the deadly symbiote's classic look. Like the tagline says, everyone is a target -- and these covers certainly emphasize that point.
