Jason Aaron, J. Michael Straczynski, Ryan Stegman and many more A-list creators are assembling for a massive Marvel Comics milestone issue, Marvel Age #1000.

Releasing in Aug. 2023, Marvel Age #1000 celebrates 84 years of Marvel Comics history with new stories starring Spider-Man, the X-Men and many more. The issue features contributions from many talented writers and artists, including Straczynski, Hickman, Stegman, Dan Slott, Mark Waid, Jason Aaron and more.

What Stories Are Included in Marvel Age #1000?

Marvel revealed Straczynski and Kaare Andrews' Marvel Age #1000 entry will see the entire Marvel Universe be created within someone's backyard. Slott and Michael Allred's story, meanwhile, will mark a major turning point for Captain Marvel, while Rainbow Rowell and Marguerite Sauvage will explore Jean Grey and Cyclops/Scott Summers' relationship.

Waid is working with Alessandro Cappuccio on a story about the original Human Torch (Jim Hammond) while, elsewhere, Steve McNiven's Marvel Age #1000 contribution will see the Silver Surfer come face-to-face with Mephisto. Aaron and Pepe Larraz are exploring how Thor's presence can impact the mortals he regularly comes in contact and Stegman is looking at Spider-Man's greater support network. Lastly, Armando Iannucci and Adam Kubert will tell a story starring Daredevil/Matt Murdock.

The publisher also teased Marvel Age #1000 will include a handful of other surprises that have not yet been announced. Additionally, Marvel Age #1000 will see the return of the Marvel Comics Value Stamp, a tradition that the publisher began in the early 1970s but has since been discontinued.
