According to its official description, Waid and Peyer's new AfterShock series "Captain Kid" "tells the story of a middle-aged comics fan who transforms into a teen super-hero. If it happened to you, would you ever change back?" Waid will co-write the series with Peyer, his longtime collaborator.
No further details about the project are known at this time.
Waid is best known for "Kingdom Come," "Superman: Birthright" and his popular runs on "The Flash" and "Captain America." He is currently the writer for "All-New, All Different Avengers" and "Archie," among others. Peyer has worked as both a comics writer and editor; he served as assistant editor on Neil Gaiman's "Sandman" and wrote for series like "Hourman" and "Spider-Man: House of M."
"Captain Kid" will arrive this summer.
