With The Fighter currently giving Mark Wahlberg some of the best critical notices of his career, he's planning on doing what anyone would with that buzz: Produce and star in a SF movie about robot cops and boys with psychic powers.

The Hollywood Reporter has the scoop that Wahlberg will be producing a full-length adaptation of Ricardo De Montreuil's short film The Raven (Not to be confused with John Cusack's currently in-production movie about Edgar Allen Poe) for Universal, and that it's currently being developed as a starring vehicle for him. De Montreuil's short debuted online earlier this year, and rather than tell you what it's about, why don't you just watch for yourself?

With De Montreuil currently working on his debut feature Lowriders for Universal, the feature adaptation of The Raven will be written by Justin Marks. No director has been named as yet.
