Avengers: Infinity War star Mark Ruffalo recently revisited the moment when he realized he was live-streaming the Thor: Ragnarok , explaining that Disney was not pleased with him.
During an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Ruffalo was exposed by castmates Tom Hiddleston, Dania Gurira, Dave Bautista and Scarlett Johansson as the one among the group who was least able to keep a secret. Hiddleston specifically brought up the Thor: Ragnarok premiere debacle, which Ruffalo addressed to the audience.
"In all fairness, [the phone] was in my pocket, and [the internet audience] heard the first 20 minutes," he said. "When I knew -- first, my phone was blowing up and I was getting these texts and I was like, 'I hope my mom's okay.' But I was like, 'I can't check my phone in the middle of the theater, that's rude, especially in my own movie. Then someone from Disney came up, a woman, and she poked me and she said, 'Turn off your phone!... Your phone is on, turn off your phone!'"
Around 2500 people were able to listen to Ruffalo's accidental livestream, while fans commented live on social media about how long it would take for Ruffalo to realize his phone was still on. At that point, there was still speculation as to how Ruffalo eventually realized his phone was on, but we should have known that Disney.
