Legendary Star Wars actor Mark Hamill engaged in a playful "fight" with Jimmy Kimmel before receiving his very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And in the process, well, let's just say Kimmel ignited a true "Star War."
Hamill geared up for his recent accolade with a segment on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live. However, instead of rattling off a celebratory speech, he was shown operating a jackhammer, removing Kimmel's star so that he could place his star into the comedian's space.
On March 8, Hamill became the 2,630th celebrity to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame during a ceremony that was hosted by Star Wars creator George Lucas and co-star Harrison Ford, alongside Leron Gubler, president and CEO of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
Hamill reprised his iconic role as Luke Skywalker in December in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and is also famed as the voice of the Joker in numerous animated series and movies, as well as in video games. He also had a cameo in Kingsman: The Secret Service and has appeared in both live-action television adaptations of The Flash.
Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Gwendoline Christie, Anthony Daniels, Lupita Nyong’o, Benicio Del Toro, Kelly Marie Tran, Laura Dern, and the late Carrie Fisher. The film arrives March 13 on Digital HD and March 27 on Blu-ray 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray and On-Demand.
