Rumors persist that the next Star Wars movie will focus on the series' original three heroes: Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Leia Organa. But there's been no official word yet, and even actor Mark Hamill swears he hasn't heard any confirmation one way or the other.

"The only character I know for sure is returning is my friend R2-D2. He hasn't stopped beeping about it," Hamill wrote during a recent Reddit AMA. "I'm not being coy, really. When I find something out, I'll let everybody know. But nothing has been decided yet."

Later in the AMA, Hamill wrote that he's "good at keeping secrets," so take his comments for what they likely are: a Jedi mind trick. Read the full AMA for more, including Hamill's thoughts on whether an older Luke needs a beard, what it's like inside of a Tauntaun (and inside of a Bantha, and inside of Jabba), and much more.

Directed by J.J. Abrams, Star Wars: Episode VII hits theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
