For several generations of filmgoers, Mark Hamill is known as Luke Skywalker, the farm boy turned Jedi in the Star Wars franchise. Though he had other roles before in movies and television, this one defines his career. However, Hamill is more than a lightsaber-wielding hero.

He's actually a talented and versatile voice actor. Starting in the early 1970s, Hamill has provided his voice for dozens of cartoon characters. Not only for his classic run as the Joker in Batman: The Animated Series but also in many more shows and films.

10 The Joker (Batman: The Animated Series)

Thanks to its long run, on various streaming services, more people know that Hamill voiced the Clown Prince of Crime on Batman: TAS than when the series launched in 1992. Though he only appeared in 15 episodes, the actor's portrayal of Joker influenced others who took the role.

It was the way Hamill balanced the criminal's moods and laughter that made him the go-to voice. It's the reason he has portrayed this member of Batman's rogues gallery in other shows. This includes Batman BeyondStatic Shock, and Justice League. Hamill also provided the villain's voice for several video games like DC Universe Online and Batman: Arkham Asylum.

9 Corey Anders (Jeanie)

Mark Hamill's first voice job was on "Jeanie."

After several one-shot roles as an actor on various TV shows of the 1960s and 70s, Hamill got his first leading man appearance in 1973. However, it wasn't on a live-action program. Instead, it was on the animated I Dream of Jeanie remake simply named Jeanie.

Created by Hanna-Barbera, Hamill played Corey Anders, a cool high school student who found Jeanie's bottle and became her master. Like the original series, Anders ends up as Jeanie's love interest.

8 Jonny K. (SWAT Kats)

When Hanna-Barbera entered a resurgence in the 1990s, it created several series for syndication. One of these was SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron. However, Hamill wasn't the voice of either of the main protagonists -- Razor and T-Bone.

Instead, he portrayed the character Jonny K., cameraman for the SWAT Kats' ally Ann Gora. Dedicated to his boss, Jonny voiced his support for her when necessary. During the run of the show, Hamill voiced the character for seven episodes.

7 Dr. Jak (Phantom 2040)

The Joker isn't the only antagonist Hamill has voiced during his career. For instance, in the syndicated animated series Phantom 2040, he played Dr. Jak. Similar to Spider-Man's J. Jonah Jameson, Jak is a constant media thorn in the 24th Phantom's side.

The main difference between Jak and Jameson is the former always wanted to be the story. It's why he tried to have an analytical computer installed in his head. Unfortunately, it failed. It left him with sensory implants on his head and a multi-purpose eye that acted as a camera.

6 Christopher "Maverick" Blair (Wing Commander Academy)

In the mid-1990s, the USA network has its own block of animated shows named the "USA Action Extreme Team." Among the shows that aired as part of it during 1996 was Wing Commander Academy. Based on the popular video game at the time, the show featured many of the spacecraft and its expert pilots.

One of these was voiced by Hamill -- Christopher "Maverick" Blair. Known as the Savior of the Terran Federation, Blair is one of the top 20 aces of the war. Hamill portrayed him as cool-headed but emotional at the same time.

5 Gargoyle (The Incredible Hulk)

One of Hamill's early forays into the Marvel Universe was his role as the villain Gargoyle on The Incredible HulkPremiering in 1996 on the UPN network, the series featured an all-star cast of voices. In addition to Hamill, Lou Ferrigno played the Hulk as he did in the live-action show of the 70s. Other cast members included Luke Perry as Rick Jones, Matt Fewer as The Leader, and Cree Summers as She-Hulk.

Gargoyle appeared in 11 episodes of the series. He was an important player during the show's season one premiere. The Hulk even had to team-up with the criminal to get an antidote for a viral epidemic. Many times, Hamill played Gargoyle up for laughs.

4 Hobgoblin (Spider-Man: The Animated Series)

Another Marvel villain role voiced by Hamill was that of the Hobgoblin in Spider-Man: The Animated Series. Airing first on FOX then the FOX Kids Network, the series brought the modern Wall-Crawler and his rogues gallery to the small screen. Most of the villain's appearances were in the 1999 storyline "Sins of the Fathers."

Hobgoblin's voice was similar to the way Hamill played the Joker on Batman: TAS. However, it was done with a good deal of more malice. The character's laugh wasn't as maniacal as the Clown Prince of Crime. Rather, it was menacing.

3 Larry 3000 (Time Squad)

Lawrence "Larry" 3000 is a time-traveling robot. On Time Squad, which premiered on Cartoon Network in 2001, he was part of a trio that included Buck Tuddrussel and Otto Osworth. Their goal was to travel back in time and correct the paths of famous people so they could move history forward.

Originally, Larry 3000 was designed as a diplomat. However, he became obsolete when all of the world's nations joined together. Thus, his main role was to operate the time machine the squad used to travel. Hamill voiced the robot with a mix of caring and sarcasm.

2 The Trickster (Justice League Unlimited)

Hamill voiced Trickster, a role he played in the 1990s "Flash" series.

During the 1990s run of the live-action The Flash, Hamill portrayed The Trickster. A member of the Scarlet Speedster's rogues gallery, the villain has a similar M.O. to the Joker. The main difference is he's not as chaotic.

Hamill reprised this role in the animated world for Justice League Unlimited. In "Flash and Substance," the Wally West version of the Flash meets Hamill's Trickster in a bar to get some information on his rogue friends. Trickster provides the data with a promise that Wally visit him in the hospital as he recovers.

1 Megatronus (Transformers: Powers of the Primes)

Hamill entered Transformers territory by voicing Megatronus.

Hamill is not only known for his roles in the Marvel and DC universe. He has also dabbled in the world of the Transformers. In the 2018 Transformers: Powers of the Primes, the actor voiced Megatronus. He's not only a Decepticon but a major supervillain of the mini-series.

Megatronus is one of the original 13 Primes created by Primus. He became the de facto Decepticon founder when he decided to team with Unicron. This caused a rift between him and Orion Pax, the Autobot who would eventually become Optimus Prime.
