A video of two people dressed as Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog at a kids' birthday party has gone viral thanks to the video game icons' respective dance moves. The short clip sees the two fan-favorite characters busting a move to Michael Jackson's 1982 hit "Billie Jean" from the Thriller album. However, while Sonic's gravity-defying moonwalk is a sight to behold, it's the unbridled passion and dedication with which Mario captures the essence of the late King of Pop that seems to be the real crowdpleaser.RELATED: Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Set Photos Feature a Sonic Adventure 2 Easter Egg

Both Mario and Sonic have been making waves online in recent weeks for various reasons. In the case of Mario, fans mourned the Nintendo mascot when Super Mario 3D All-Stars was removed from the Nintendo eShop on March 31. As for Sonic, the Blue Blur's second theatrical outing, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, is currently filming, which means leaked set photos from Green Hills have been making their way onto the Internet.

Most recently, leaked images offered fans their first look at Knunckles, who was absent from the first film but will make his live-action debut in the sequel.
