Netflix will not be picking up Manifest for a fourth season after the supernatural mystery show about an airplane flight that reappeared five years after vanishing was canceled by NBC after three seasons.

The show was very popular on the streaming service, finishing in the Top 10 on Netflix the same week that NBC announced that it was canceling the show, but a deal was not able to be worked out to bring the show to Netflix.

Manifest creator Jeff Rake tweeted out last week, "My dear Manifesters, I'm devastated by NBC's decision to cancel us. That we've been shut down in the middle is a gut punch to say the least. Hoping to find a new home. You the fans deserve an ending to your story. Thanks for the love shown to me, cast, and crew."

But on Monday, star Josh Dallas tweeted out, "Well, my #manifesters, I’m sorry to say that it’s the end of the line for now. We are so proud to have brought this story over 3 season. We so wished we could’ve finished this journey with you. But it wasn’t in the cards.”

The other lead on the series, Melissa Roxbough, tweeted out, "Oh, to put into words the last three years.... Thanks for everyone who joined on with us. I’m forever grateful for the family of misfits and creators that wound up at Silvercup studios. When you film a show, you spend all day every day with these people...They truly become your family, your friends, your therapists, your entertainment....everything.You guys have no idea what you’ll forever mean to me. I’ve had some of the greatest days of my life on the stages of Manifest, playing pretend with people who have seeped into my heart."

The problem with Manifest is that it had a streaming deal with Netflix before NBC created its Peacock streaming service, so there was no easy way for NBC to just move the show to Peacock without working out a deal with Netflix. So it is a disappointing end for fans of the series who tried to use social media to get the show brought back so that Rake could finish the story that he had planned out for six seasons from the beginning.
