Anime fans on social media have discovered an isekai manga with a 75-word title.

As shown in a recent post from the Facebook group Daily Dose of Anime, this manga's official title is I Became a Slave in Another World (pien) and to Make Matters Worse, My Master Is a Black-Hearted Elf Queen! (But She's Super Hot. (note: v. impt.)) I'm Pretty Useless, So I'm Getting Barked At Left, Right and Centre, but the Orc I'm Rooming With is Full of Good Vibes, and the Elf in the Village is Pretty Cute Too, So On the Whole, I Have to Say That I'm Actually Quite Enjoying Myself Here.

The Title May Parody Isekai's Unreasonably Long Titles

While this title seemingly parodies the tendency of isekai series to have overly long titles, it is unclear whether this title was intended as a joke. Super Masara, the series' writer, is known for their work on the slice-of-life sports manga, Take Me to the Ballpark. The artist, Hideyuki Yoshida, is known for drawing sexually provocative art, much of which is featured in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Max magazine. This publication also serializes I Became a Slave in Another World (pien) and to Make Matters Worse....

The series' plot revolves around a high-school girl named Teru who aspires to be a manga artist. Like many other isekai protagonists, she is tragically killed and subsequently reincarnated into a fantasy world. As its lengthy title details, Teru then becomes the slave of an evil Elf Queen who frequently berates her. Teru's finds her misery offset by the company of her kind Orc roommate and a pretty Elf girl that lives nearby. Despite the fact that slavery is a main aspect of the plot, the carefree tone of the heroine's titular introduction suggests a focus on comedy.

The past few years have seen the popularization of several isekai anime. Season 1 of J.C. Staff's Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls In a Dungeon? premiered on Apr. 5, 2015, and was later followed up by three additional seasons. That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime's first season aired from Oct. 2018 to March 2019. The series' third season is currently in production but does not yet have a release window. The franchise's first feature-length film, That Time I Got Reincarnated As a Slime: Scarlet Bond, will have its North American theatrical debut on Jan. 20.

It is unknown at this time if I Became a Slave in Another World (pien) and to Make Matters Worse... will have an English-language release.
