WWE Superstar Sasha Banks surprised fans of wrestling and Star Wars alike when she showed up briefly in the trailer for Season 2 of Disney+'s The Mandalorian. Perhaps even more surprising, though, is that it wasn't The Boss' professional wrestling work that led to her role in the series.

"And if I can give a little something cool, that’s how I got noticed for Star Wars," Banks said on The New Day: Feel the Power in reference to her appearance on YouTubes' Hot Ones, a show in which celebrities are asked burning questions while eating hot wings. She also recalled becoming teary-eyed upon being cast in The Mandalorian and even shed a few additional tears on the podcast.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian is slated to introduce a bounty of new characters to the Disney+ series. Rosario Dawson is expected to play Ahsoka Tano, while Timothy Olyphant is rumored to play Cobb Vanth. Meanwhile, Banks has joined the cast in a mystery role, and franchise veteran Temuera Morrison is all but confirmed to be playing Boba Fett.

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers, Giancarlo Esposito, Taika Waititi and Emily Swallow. Season 2 premieres Oct. 30 on Disney+.
