With an Ennio Morricone track and a crisp film grain edit, the live-action Star Wars television series The Mandalorian has a fan-made, spaghetti western-inspired trailer courtesy of YouTube user kingkida.

There is no denying the influences that permeate the Disney+ series. The Mandalorian is a space western through and through. And in this fan trailer, the cowboy elements inspired by the films of Sergio Leone are highlighted. The desolate planets of Navarro and Tatooine echo the desert landscapes of the height of the Italian made westerns. The slow confident stride of a lone gunfighter is clearly parallel, whether the bounty hunter wears a leather hat and poncho or a Beskar helmet and armor. It's evident that Pedro Pascal's Mandalorian is reminiscent of Clint Eastwood's Man With No Name, as he was without a name and face for most of the first season.

In addition, fun little references are made by the fan artist to past seminal films. For instance, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly being parodied with the characters Cara Dune, Moff Gideon, and Kuill as "The Good, The Bad and The Ugnaught," respectively.

What's more, this is actually the second version of this trailer kingkida has published. "Now that the amazing first season of The Mandalorian is complete, I decided to go back and update my Sergio Leone inspired trailer," the YouTube user wrote. "Thanks for all the feedback on the last one. I incorporated a lot of your suggestions, but I'm sure I butchered more Italian in this pass as well!"
