UPDATE: The footage posted of The Mandalorian game is actually a fan-made demo developed by YouTuber Christopher Turner. It's unclear whether the game was created from scratch or whether it's an impressive mod for an already existing game. Turner tagged Star Wars Battlefront II, a popular multiplayer Star Wars game, in the video's description leading some to believe the footage of Mando is a modded iteration of the 2017 shooter. The rest of Turner's channel is filled with similar Unreal Engine demos.

Footage from what appears to be a video game based on Disney+'s Star Wars series The Mandalorian has surfaced online.

The footage begins with a menu screen featuring Grogu holding the shift knob from the Razor Crest. The player then loads up "Chapter 4: The Escape," and after the loading screen disappears, we see Din Djarin in his full beskar armor with the beskar spear across his back. A pair of doors soon shoot open, and Mando quickly fires off blaster bolts at a pair of stormtroopers. Once they're dead, he engages in a shootout with more standing across the bridge before using his grappler to get to the other side. Based on the gameplay, it would appear that Din's jetpack and flamethrower are also usable gadgets.

A video game based on The Mandalorian has been on many Star Wars fans' wishlists since November 2019. However, this footage is the first real indication that such a project could be happening. Prior to this, most fans were lying in wait for the inevitable sequel to Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, as well as Ubisoft's mysterious open-world Star Wars game.

"We’re really excited about an opportunity to work with the team at Massive, led by David Polfeldt and the creative director, Julian Gerighty," Lucasfilm Games VP Douglas Reilly said when the open-world title was announced. "We’ve spent almost a year now, working to get to know them and what they want to bring to the table. I’m a huge fan of them, personally. I think we’re really excited about where that project is going, because they have a unique vision for the story and the game they want to deliver."

"We know that fans of Star Wars value the feeling of immersion — of being transported into the Star Wars galaxy and moving through richly-detailed environments," he continued. "It’s fun to imagine what the team at Massive can do within Star Wars by bringing their innovative spirit and their commitment to quality."

The nature of this apparent Mandalorian video game remains unclear, but based on the menu screen, it would appear to be contained to levels centered on the episodes of the show.
