The first footage from The Mandalorian Season 3 was unveiled at Star Wars Celebration on May 26.
Fans were treated to a teaser that revealed where Din Djarin's journey will take him in the upcoming season. In the wake of his banishment from the Mandalorian way of life, Pedro Pascal's fan-favorite protagonist will travel to the cursed planet of Mandalore in search of a way to regain his honor among the clan.
Several characters from previous seasons of The Mandalorian are present in the teaser, including a formidable Bo-Katan Kryze (Katee Sackhoff), who is seen sitting on a throne. At one point in the teaser, she asks Grogu, "Did you think your dad was the only Mandalorian?" Bounty Hunters' Guild leader Greef Karga (Carl Weathers) also makes an appearance, as well as scrappy mechanic Peli Motto (Amy Sedaris).
Star Wars also revealed a release window of February 2023 for The Mandalorian Season 3. The series' second season was released from October to December 2020, though the Mandalorian himself -- as well as other familiar faces from the show -- appeared in episodes of The Book of Boba Fett in early 2022.
Star Wars Celebration offered a wealth of other footage and details from upcoming content set within the Star Wars universe. A trailer for Rogue One prequel series Andor was unveiled, giving fans a full look at what's in store for Diego Luna's headstrong Rebel spy. Disney and Lucasfilm also announced that the upcoming original series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew will star Jude Law. Executive producers Jon Watts and Christopher Ford told the audience that Skeleton Crew will focus on a group of roughly 10-year-old kids who get lost in the Star Wars galaxy and must find their way home. Andor will hit Disney+ on Aug. 31, and Skeleton Crew is set to arrive sometime in 2023.
Other live-action Star Wars series yet to be fully unveiled are The Acolyte, Lando and Ahsoka, though the latter received a 2023 release window. The Acolyte is currently finalizing scripts, while The Hunger Games' Amandla Stenberg will reportedly star. Details about Lando are scarce; however, Solo: A Star Wars Story's Donald Glover recently teased his involvement with the series. When asked whether he was working on Lando, Glover played coy, joking, "Am I? Just telling all my business."
