A new fan-made short film looks at Star Wars: The Mandalorian from the angle of Din Djarin's role as The Child's hapless caretaker, and it's just as heartwarming as it sounds.

The video, created by Warp Zone, places The Mandalorian in a televised documentary where he describes the difficulties in raising the mischievous and powerful little alien -- and then acknowledges its rewards.

While some scenes in the parody poke fun at modern inconveniences, like Mando taking a job at a fast food joint and facing a Star Wars-ified "Karen" who won't stop complaining, some are barely exaggerated from the show's canon. Mando really does give up everything to devote himself to protecting The Child, and he's certainly had to contend with his fair share of spit-up and temper tantrums.

Many parents in real life can surely relate, and will also understand Mando's emotion when his Baby Yoda draws him a picture to express his love, making it all worthwhile.

Created by Jon Favreau, The Mandalorian stars Pedro Pascal, Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. New episodes arrive Fridays on Disney+.
