Although the Star Wars live-action spinoff TV show, The Mandalorian, won't debut on the Disney+ streaming service until Nov. 12, there is a belief the series will be renewed for a second season. According to a new report, Season 2 would also bring back Jon Favreau as showrunner.

Discussing Film reports The Mandalorian will receive a second season with Favreau attached to return. Sources for the site say Disney and Lucasfilm are both pleased with Favreau's work on the Star Wars series. In particular, Disney is stated to be very satisfied with Favreau's recent output for the studio, citing July's The Lion King.
