While Season 1 of The Mandalorian may have just come to an end on Disney+, showrunner Jon Favreau confirmed when fans can expect Season 2 to arrive.On Twitter, Favreau revealed Season 2 is set to premiere sometime in fall 2020, providing the release window alongside the figure of what appears to be a Gamorrean, the pig-like species that provided security for Jabba the Hutt.

News of Disney ordering a second season of The Mandalorian first broke in May, with Favreau expected to reprise his role as showrunner. He later confirmed he would be directing an episode of Season 2 himself, and recently revealed that principal photography began in November, with active development beginning as early as July.

There are plenty of potential routes for the second season to take its characters next, with returning star Carl Weathers hinting that Season 2 would delve into the backstory of his character, mercenary overseer Greef Carga.
