The series premiere of The Mandalorian ended with bounty hunter Din Djarin discovering an infant from the same species as Jedi Master Yoda. Dubbed "The Child" by Lucasfilm, fandom quickly renamed the green bundle of joy "Baby Yoda." In fact, it wasn't until midway through Season 2 that we finally learned his real name was Grogu, courtesy of Ahsoka Tano.

We last saw Grogu in the Season 2 finale parting ways with Din to begin his Jedi training under Luke Skywalker. However, while Season 3 of The Mandalorian is confirmed, it's unclear if Baby Yoda will return.
