When it was released last year, the Disney+ exclusive live action Star Wars show The Mandalorian turned out to be a smash hit not just with critics and fans, but internet users everywhere. This was due in no small part to the popularity of the character called "The Child" in the show but dubbed "Baby Yoda" by fans.

In addition to the plethora of merchandise featuring the character, both official and fan made, the adorable green Force user now has his own breakfast cereal, courtesy of General Mills.

The company's Instagram post revealing this new cereal came on May 4th, also known as Star Wars Day, and said, "May the 4th Be With You! Coming to a cereal aisle near you later this summer," and used the hashtags #maythe4thbewithyou and #starwarsday.

General Mills' popular breakfast cereals include classics like Cheerios, Trix, Cocoa Puffs and Lucky Charms, the latter of which seems to have inspired the new cereal's Yoda head-shaped marshmallows.

The  cereal was announced for a late summer release, meaning it likely won't be too long until consumers will be able to find it on store shelves and bring it home to enjoy.
