"Man of Steel" Images Give New Look at Superman & Zod

Zack Snyder's "Man of Steel" is due to hit theaters in June, and Empire Magazine has debuted two covers for its June issue to celebrate the film's release featuring Henry Cavill as Superman amidst the smoldering wreckage of Smallville; and Michael Shannon as General Zod posing in front of an extraterrestrial landscape. The covers give a very detailed look both at Cavill's Superman costume and General Zod's armor.

Written by David S. Goyer from a story by Goyer and Christopher Nolan, "Man of Steel" stars Henry Cavill as Superman/Clark Kent, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Michael Shannon as General Zod, Diane Lane as Martha Kent, Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent, Russell Crowe as Jor-El, Ayelet Zurer as Lara Lor-Van, Laurence Fishburne as Perry White, Antje Traue as Faora, Christopher Meloni as Colonel Hardy and Harry Lennix as General Swanwick. The film opens June 14.
