MAN OF STEEL
Warner Bros has won a major battle in its conflict with the estate of Superman co-creator Jerry Siegel, according to Variety. The article mentions two interesting things in relationship to the long inert sequel to "Superman Returns." Alan Horn, Warner Bros. Chairman, testified, according to the article, "that the property wasn't under development at the studio, that no script had been written and that the earliest another 'Superman' pic could be released would be in 2012." Which could be good news for the Siegel Estate. "The Court pointedly ruled that if Warner Bros. does not start production on another Superman film by 2011, the Siegels will be able to sue to recover their damages," says their lawyer, Marc Toberoff. We have the full court decision and an analysis here at CBR.
