Some thought it would never happen, but Guy Ritchie's The Man From U.N.C.L.E. finally has a release date!

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros.' long-gestating film will arrive on Jan. 16, 2015. Starring Henry Cavill and Armie Hammer as international spies Napoleon Solo and Illya Kuryakin, the film is based on the '60s television series.

By the time U.N.C.L.E. hits screens, it will have been about five years since the project really got under way at the studio. Steven Soderbergh helped kick things into gear, but eventually dropped out as stars like Tom Cruise, Bradley Cooper and Channing Tatum moved first toward and then away from the spy adaptation.

Eventually Ritchie hopped on board and got to work recruiting Cavill, Jared Harris, Hugh Grant, Luca Calvani and Alicia Vikander.
