Instead of the previously teased 12 returning cast members from the 1995 romantic comedy, the filmmaker is now shooting for 15. "11 down, and NOW an updated 4 to go!" Smith wrote this morning on his Facebook page. "Collect all 15!"
The trio joins the previously announced Jason Lee, Jeremy London, Shannen Doherty, Ethan Suplee, Michael Rooker, Jason Mewes, Stan Lee and Smith in the sequel, which is expected to begin production next spring.
Adams, who later starred in "Chasing Amy," played Gwen Turner, a former girlfriend of T.S. Quint (London), who convinces Brandi Svenning (Claire Forlani) that he's actually a great boyfriend. Thorsen was LaFours, the mall security guard who pursued Jay and Silent Bob (Mewes and Smith) throughout the film. Humphrey played Tricia Jones, the teenage author of "Boregasm" whose sex tape led to the arrest of Shannon Hamilton (Ben Affleck).
