The cast of "Mallrats 2" is rapidly falling into place.

After confirming earlier this week the return of Jason Lee and Shannen Doherty, filmmaker Kevin Smith has announced that Jeremy London and Ethan Suplee will reprise their roles in the sequel to the 1995 romantic comedy.

London ("I'll Fly Away," "Party of Five") starred in the original as T.S. Quint, whose plans to propose to his girlfriend Brandi (Claire Forlani) at Universal Studios are derailed when she reveals she promised to fill in as a contestant on her father's game show "Truth or Date." He heads off with his friend Brodie (Lee) to the mall, where they discover the show is being taped, kicking off the events of the film.

Suplee ("Chasing Amy," "My Name Is Earl") played their friend William, who spends most of the movie trying to see a sailboat in a Magic Eye poster. The two join a rapidly expanding cast that also includes returning actors Michael Rooker, Jason Mewes, Stan Lee and Smith.

"8 down, 4 to go!" Smith wrote this morning in the Instagram post announcing London's involvement.

“Mallrats 2″ begins production next spring.
