Maleficent: Mistress of Evil Poster Spotlights the Kingdom's Lead Women

A new poster for the upcoming sequel Maleficent: Mistress of Evil puts the movie's three leading ladies in the spotlight.

The poster shows Michelle Pfeiffer's Queen Ingrith, Angelina Jolie's Maleficent and Elle Fanning's Princess Aurora.

Picking up years after the first film, this dark fairy tale will continue to chronicle the events that turned Maleficent into a full-fledged villain as she tries to protect the magical creatures of the Moors using her assorted magical abilities

Mistress of Evil is the sequel to 2014's Maleficent. While the film was initially scheduled to hit theaters in 2020, its release date was moved up, which led to some speculation that the film could debut on the Disney+ streaming service. However, Disney's title for the teaser confirms that the film will still be released in theaters. The film joins Disney's ambitious 2019 theatrical slate, which includes Aladdin, The Lion King and Toy Story 4, along with Marvel and Star Wars films.
