Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’s Enchanted Cast Assembles in Latest Poster

Walt Disney Studios has dropped a new poster for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the upcoming sequel to 2014's Maleficent, which revolves around the Sleeping Beauty villain.

Leading star Angelina Jolie looms large in the poster, her vivid features and attire popping out against the white background. Look closer, and you can see the rest of the film's cast residing in her wings.

As you can see, many of the cast members from the first film are returning returning, such as Elle Fanning as Princess Aurora and Sam Riley as Diaval. Joining the cast will be Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith and Chiwetel Ejiofor as Connal. Actor Harris Dickinson will take on the role of Prince Phillip, as the original actor, Brenton Thwaites, was unable to return.

Mistress of Evil picks up a few years after the first Maleficent left off. The film continues the tale of how Maleficent became a full-fledged villain in her quest to protect the magical creatures of the Moors using her own abilities.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Jenn Murray, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple and Brenton Thwaites. The film is set to be released on Oct. 18.
