Tickets are now on sale for Disney's upcoming Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.
The announcement came with a new IMAX poster, which features Angelina Jolie's titular character in a haunting and prickly forest.
Picking up several years after the events of Maleficent, the sequel will continue to explore the relationship between the horned witch and Princess Aurora (Elle Fanning). As Aurora prepares for her upcoming wedding, her mother-in-law Queen Ingrith of Ulstead begins to sow seeds of division between the princess and Maleficent, making them question their relationship.
The franchise will welcome new cast members Michelle Pfeiffer, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Harris Dickinson and Ed Skrein. Dickinson will portray Prince Phillip, replacing Brenton Thwaites from the first film.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is the first in a series of high profile releases coming from Disney this fall and winter, including Lady and the Tramp (debuting on Disney+), Frozen 2 and Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Jenn Murray, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple and Brenton Thwaites. The film is set to be released on Oct. 18.
