Disney's long-awaited sequel to its Sleeping Beauty live-action reimagining, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, opens in theaters everywhere next month, and the studio has released a new promo revealing Angelina Jolie's transformation into the eponymous evil queen.
In a pair of tweets, Disney has provided a look behind-the-scenes with a makeup video for Jolie, along with several black and white photos showing the step-by-step transformative process.

Set to AC/DC's "Back in Black," the time-lapse video has Jolie's hair worked on as makeup and light prosthetics accentuate her cheekbones. With the makeup and hair set, Jolie is fitted with Maleficent's signature horns, and given fangs to highlight her exceptionally wicked smile.
The upcoming sequel will have Princess Aurora's impending marriage to Prince Phillip threaten the fragile peace between magical beings and humans when Phillip's mother plans to launch a war against the fairies and Maleficent. Principal photography on the film concluded last August in London, before spending over a year in post-production.
Maleficent: Mistress of Evil is directed by Joachim Rønning and stars Angelina Jolie, Elle Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Ed Skrein, Jenn Murray, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Juno Temple and Brenton Thwaites. The film is set to be released on Oct. 18.
