Rob Liefeld's ongoing series Major X is about to debut a character that the creator calls his "absolute favorite."

Major X #5 will feature the series' first appearance of Aura, a mutant that Liefeld created for the series. Liefeld released an image of the character back in February, showing her wearing body armor fashioned from the face plates of Sentinels.

On Instagram, Liefeld posted the cover for Major X #5, along with the caption, "Major X #5 introduces one of my favorite, if not my absolute favorite character in the saga, AURA. Excited for you to meet her!"

Liefeld hasn't released much about Aura aside from her design, but it looks like she's pretty tough. Her armor is made from Sentinel parts, and anyone who knows the X-Men knows Sentinels aren't easy to take down.

The solicitation for Major X #5 describes the issue as "The conclusion of a tale almost 30 years in the making -- the fate of the X-Istance! The rise of the X-Ential!"

Major X #5 goes on sale Jun 12. The issue will be written by Rob Liefeld with Brent Peeples on art. Liefeld created the issue's cover art.
