SPOILER WARNING: This article contians major spoilers for “Left Behind,” the latest episode of “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.”
Move over, Nyssa — Talia al Ghul has arrived on “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.” In “Left Behind,” Sara Lance returned to the one place she felt she could fit in during her involuntary two-year stay in the 1950s: Nanda Parbat. When she rejoined the League of Assassins, she encountered Talia al Ghul, Ra’s al Ghul’s older daughter.
Early on in the episode, Ra’s al Ghul (“Arrow” star Matt Nable) observed his assassins during a training session with a young Talia at his side. After Sara unmasks herself, he explains to Talia that she has much to learn from Sara. Talia looks to be about 12-years-old in the scene, which is her first appearance in the Arrowverse.
Talia’s Arrowverse debut wasn’t the only surprise in the episode. Chronos also unmasked himself, revealing that he was Mick Rory — aka Heat Wave — all along. The Time Masters picked up him after Captain Cold abandoned him following the events of “Marooned.” Since then, he spent years training with the Time Masters to become the bounty hunter the team encountered in the first episode.
The team overcomes him at the end of the episode, and they place him in custody aboard the Waverider. Though Kendra and Snart object, Rip Hunter hopes to rehabilitate him to rejoin the team.
Airing Thursday nights at 8 pm EST on The CW, “Legends of Tomorrow” stars Caity Lotz as White Canary, Brandon Routh as the Atom, Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart/Captain Cold, Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory/Heat Wave, Victor Garber as Professor Martin Stein (one-half of Firestorm), Franz Drameh as Jefferson “Jax” Jackson (the other half of Firestorm), Ciara Renee as Hawkgirl and Arthur Darvill as time-traveler Rip Hunter.
