Maisie Williams ("Game of Thrones") has addressed the rumor -- which Fox has since denied -- that she's been cast in the upcoming "X-Men" spinoff, "The New Mutants," as Wolfsbane.

"I can't say much about it at all, but I would absolutely love to be a part of it, [and] to be a part of the Marvel family," Williams told Entertainment Weekly. "'New Mutants' looks absolutely incredible and I've always loved the idea of spin-offs and [director] Joshua Boone is incredibly talented. So, yeah, sign me up."

The initial casting report said Williams had been tapped to play Wolfsbane/Rahne Sinclair, alongside Anya Taylor-Joy ("The Witch") as Magik, and James McAvoy and Alexandra Shipp, reprising their roles from "X-Men: Apocalypse," as Professor X and Storm, respectively. Fox has officially debunked the rumors.

Writer-director Josh Boone has confirmed that he's completed the second draft of the "New Mutants" script, in which he credits creators Chris Claremont and Bob McLeod.

While the "New Mutants" movie doesn't have a release date, Fox's next "X-Men" installment, "X-Men: Apocalypse," hits theaters on May 27.
