Mahfood and Morse headline first annual Comic Con Funk Party!

Samurai Comics, a comics retailer in Phoenix Arizona, is proud to invite comics and underground funk music fans to a night of booze, beats, and live mural art at the first annual San Diego Comic Con Funk Party.

The 2003 Comic Con Funk party will feature the Vinyl Elements DJs and an incredible live mural art show starring underground comics superstars Scott Morse and Jim Mahfood.

"This show is going to be an experience that fans of indy comics and funk music will never forget," said Brandon Huigens, manager of Samurai Comics. "Everyone that comes out to see Jim and Scott do live mural art and the Vinyl Element DJs spin records is going to want to make this show a yearly tradition at Comic Con".

Doors for this age 21 and over. The show is Friday, July 18th, opens at 9pm at the Honey Bee Hive in downtown San Diego at 14th and C Street. Cover charge is five dollars. All art will be for sale at the end of the show, giving fans an opportunity to own some very unique original artwork from two of this era's most influential artists.
