The video titled "A New Quest" discusses the cliffhanger that found the Brakebills students victims of the Beast. Season Two opens with Quentin Coldwater looking for help to save his friends. The cast uses words like "crazy," "epic," "deadly" and "magical bonanza" to describe the new season as they deal with the aftermath of what happened with the Beast. One of the highlights of Season Two will be the students exploring the magical world of Fillory.

"The White Lady" introduces Emma Dumont, who plays the "not human, not quite animal" creature that crosses paths with our young magicians. There is a tale that if you catch the White Lady she will grant you a wish. More than eight hours of work goes into creating the special effects makeup for the White Lady, which includes prosthetics, body paint and tiny bits of hair. The overall process from concept to completion is approximately six full weeks.

Based on the bestselling novels by Lev Grossman, “The Magicians” centers on Quentin Coldwater (Jason Ralph) and his friends as they discover their magical abilities at Brakebills, a secret grad school specializing in magic. While there, they come to the realization that the fantasies they read about as children are all too real, and unwittingly invite a malevolent entity from the other side into their lives.

"The Magicians" returns Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Syfy.
