Magic: The Gathering is officially getting a tie-in manga series.
In August, Takuma Yokota (Shudan!) teamed up with fellow manga creator Katsura Ise to produce a one-shot manga titled Subete no Jinsei wo Hakai Suru. Sorera wa Saisei Dekinai, which roughly translates to âDestroy All Humans. They Canât Be Regenerated.â The series will release in the January issue of Kadokawaâs Monthly ShÅnen Ace. Yokota is working in conjunction with the Wizards of the Coast, which owns the game, on the manga.

A âyouth graffitiâ manga, the story centers around two teenagers who play Magic: The Gathering during the original heyday of the game during the 1990s. While the story was initially produced as a standalone story, the success of the one-shot has prompted an expansion of the series.
Magic: The Gathering, which was first released in 1993, is considered one of the first trading card games. The manga's title is actually a reference to one of the older cards in the game, called Wrath of God. The card's textbox says, âDestroy all creatures. They canât be regenerated.â
