Mark Millar has revealed that Volumes 2 and 3 of The Magic Order will be making their way to bookstores this fall.

"I created it to be a live-action series, but as comic fans know, I'm also passionate about doing books," Millar said in a Netflix blog post concerning the future of Millarworld on the eve of Jupiter's Legacy's debut. "I'm excited to report that we have The Magic Order Volume 2 launching in October by the legendary Stuart Immonen and Volume 3 immediately afterwards by the sensational European artist Gigi Cavenago."

He also gave fans an update on The Magic Order television series, which he said is still in active development. "I'm also happy to share that The Magic Order is in active development after we had to postpone due to all the uncertainty last year," he said. "Some time away has given us a chance to come back with a completely fresh look at the material, and we should be getting into our new writers' room very shortly."

Millar previously said that The Magic Order was still in development at Netflix in an interview for Jupiter's Legacy. "It's still a top priority for us so we'll be on that as soon as we can again," Millar said. "We have a list of things that are top priorities, and Jupiter's Legacy and The Magic Order were at the top of the list." Reports of The Magic Order no longer being in development popped up in October 2020.

Created by Millar and Olivier Coipel, The Magic Order follows five families of magicians who are sworn to protect Earth but live disguised as normal people by the day.
