The evil version of the Hulk known as the Maestro faces off against an unexpected adversary as his rise to power continues in November: Hercules.

Marvel Comics has revealed the advance solicitation information for November's Maestro #4, the limited series' penultimate issue. The synopsis teases that Hercules originally has the upper hand in his battle against the Maestro, though that may not last too long -- especially with Rick Jones second-guessing his allegiances. Moreover, Marvel teases that this issue marks "a pivotal moment as the Maestro's plans fall into place."

An alternate version of Bruce Banner/the Hulk created by writer Peter David and artist George Pérez, the Maestro is a villain who -- stricken with grief and filled with excess nuclear radiation -- rules over a desolate future. The ongoing Marvel limited series goes into detail regarding exactly how the giant green Avenger broke bad, and how he came to be the overlord of a broken Earth. Evidently, his path goes through none other than Hercules.
