The previous two films, Made in Abyss: Journey's Dawn and Made in Abyss: Wandering Twilight, serve as a recap of the anime series' first season. Those two movies, along with the entirety of the first season, are also available on HIDIVE. Made in Abyss: Dawn of the Deep Soul is a continuation of the events of the anime's first season and will directly tie in to the recently announced second season. During the first three days of its theatrical release in Japan, Dawn of the Deep Soul made nearly $1 million USD at the box office, but the film never received a North American theatrical run due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

HIDIVE currently offers a 30-day free trial for its service and a subscription model of $4.99 USD per month. The streaming service specializes in anime, including a selection of exclusive titles not available anywhere else.
