UPDATE: Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has changed the release date to Nov. 16.

All four films in George Miller's post-apocalyptic action series Mad Max will finally be available in 4K when an all-new anthology collection releases later this year.

Bundling 1979's original film, Mad Max, alongside its 1981 sequel The Road Warrior, 1985's Beyond Thunderdome and 2015's Fury Road, The Mad Max Anthology will be available in a 4K UHD Blu-ray combo pack beginning Nov. 2, Warner Bros. announced. This release will mark the 4K debut of The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome, both of which will see individual 4K releases as well.

The Mad Max Anthology will be available in both physical and digital versions on release, retailing for $89.99. However, for fans who already own the original Mad Max and Fury Road in 4K, The Road Warrior and Beyond Thunderdome will be offered in separate 4K UHD Blu-ray combo packs retailing for $33.99 each.

With Fury Road marking the most recent appearance of the titular Max Rockatansky, who took over the character from Mel Gibson, director George Miller is expected to return to the wasteland with Furiosa -- a prequel to Fury Road starring Anya Taylor-Joy as a younger version of Charlize Theron's character. That film, however, has recently been pushed back by Warner Bros. to a 2024 release.
