Titled "Explosion," the new TV spot for George Miller's "Mad Max: Fury Road" delivers that in spades, with one blast after another for much of its too-short 15 seconds.
We've seen all of the footage before, with the action-packed chase across the desert, yet somehow it doesn't lose its impact.
The fourth installment in Miller’s celebrated post-apocalyptic saga, “Fury Road” follows Mad Max (Tom Hardy) as he becomes involved with a group traveling across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by Furiosa (Charlize Theron), an elite Imperator. Pursing them is the Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), who brings together all his gangs and pursues the group on a collision course for a Road War.
Opening May 15, the film also stars Nathan Jones, Zoe Kravitz, Riley Keough, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Abbey Lee, Courtney Eaton, Josh Helman, Jennifer Hagan and iOTA.
Haunted by his turbulent past, Mad Max believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord marshals all his gangs and pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.
