'Mad Love' on TV

The last episode of the animated Batman cartoon, for now, will be the adaptation of the Eisner award-winning graphic novel "Mad Love," the origin of the Joker's girlfriend, Harley Quinn.

Originally thought to be lacking in the action required for the cartoon by "Mad Love" author and series producer Paul Dini, the adaptation reportedly turned out well according to Dini, and will be aired on January 16 at 8:30 a.m. on the WB network. No other episodes are planned at this time.

The production team's efforts have been shifted to the show that also makes its debut that Saturday: "Batman Beyond," starring a near-future successor to Batman.
