Samuel L. Jackson would love to return to a galaxy far, far away and asked The Mandalorian director Bryce Dallas Howard to make it happen."There's a huge history of people with one hand returning in Star Wars," Jackson told Happy Sad Confused host Josh Horowitz. "The only person I've ever said that to about coming back was Bryce Dallas Howard, 'cause I just did a movie with her. And she directs episodes of The Mandalorian, so, 'You think you might be able to hook a brother up? I mean you like me, right?' She's like, 'I love you, you’re amazing!' So, 'Put me back in there… Put me in coach, I’m ready!' You know, I'll learn to lightsaber left-handed. Come on, hook me up."RELATED: Mandalorian S3 Set Photos May Confirm a Star Wars: The Last Jedi Connection

Jackson first appeared as Jedi Master and Council member Mace Windu in 1999's Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace, reprising the role in both Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. After discovering the Chancellor's true identity as Darth Sidious, Windu loses his right hand during a tense confrontation with the recently corrupted Sith Lord Anakin Skywalker. Palpatine then used his Force lightning to incapacitate Windu and throw the Jedi out of a high-rise window.

Jackson isn't the only person related to Star Wars that wants to see Mace Windu return. Temuera Morrison, who stars in The Book of Boba Fett as the titular bounty hunter, would love to get revenge against the Jedi for killing his father, Jango Fett. "I owe [Mace Windu] big time for my dad," Morrison said. "[Windu's] done. He's done. I've got my eye on him. He's top of the list, in fact."

Star Wars has a history of bringing back characters that have been presumed dead. Boba Fett is one such example, as The Return of the Jedi saw him thrown into the Sarlacc Pit by Han Solo. The notorious bounty hunter was resurrected in canon for The Mandalorian, but the full story of how he survived wasn't told until the first episode of The Book of Boba Fett. Even the person responsible for Windu's demise, Emperor Palpatine, found his way back for The Rise of Skywalker after Darth Vader threw him into the reactor shaft of the exploding Death Star in Return of the Jedi.
