With its premiere a week away, M. Night Shyamalan has revealed his Apple TV+ series Servant has been renewed for a second season.

As reported by TV Guide, Shyamalan broke the news on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The move proves Apple has great faith in the series, which comes with Shyamalan's prestigious pedigree. The debut season will arrive on the streaming service on November 28, and writing has already begun for Season 2.

During a press junket, Shyamalan told TV Guide that work has started on the new season of the series. "We're writing away on the second season. Some really crazy stuff is happening," Shyamalan revealed. "We all talk about, what's the movement of the story? ... What will we learn by the end of the second episode? What is its final moment? In my mind we talk a lot about, what's the final moment of this series and how are we aiming to that?"

Servant follows Dorothy (Lauren Ambrose) and Sean Turner (Toby Kebbell) as they hire a nanny for their newborn. But because this is Shyamalan, it's no ordinary child. In fact, it's not a child at all. With their real child deceased, Dorothy takes in a life-like doll to help her deal with the trauma. What could go wrong?
