After a long wait, Netflix/Marvel's "Luke Cage" series is close to hitting the streets. The series from showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker and starring Mike Colter in the title role sees the Marvel Cinematic Universe travel uptown from Hell's Kitchen to Harlem as reluctant hero Luke Cage wages war against the notorious Cornell "Cottonmouth" Stokes. A new trailer for the series released by Netflix just ahead of the series' debut plays up this conflict, with Cage promising to take out Cottonmouth's entire chessboard.

The trailer features a lot of Luke Cage doing his best to protect the people of Harlem, and it also includes more of the show's supporting cast (including Simone Missick's Misty Knight and Marvel mainstay Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple). And as if that's not enough, the trailer ends with a truly great guest appearance.

Starring Mike Colter, Alfre Woodard, Mahershala Ali, Simone Missick, Rosario Dawson, Theo Rossi and Frank Whaley, "Luke Cage" arrives on Netflix on September 30.
