Xena: Warrior Princess star Lucy Lawless swiftly shut down Hercules: The Legendary Journeys star Kevin Sorbo when the latter seemed to entertain a conspiracy theory surrounding the Jan. 6 riot at the United States Capitol.

Rogan O'Handley, a far-right influencer, shared one of the many viral photos from the storming of the Capitol Building of men adorned in Trump regalia and wrote, "Do these look like Trump supporters? Or Leftist agitators disguised as Trump supporters..." This is in reference to a conspiracy that Antifa and the far-left posed as Trump supporters and initiated the incident.

When Sorbo tweeted that they didn't look like patriots to him, Lawless replied, "No, Peanut. They are not Patriots. They are your flying monkeys, homegrown terrorists, QAnon actors. They are the douchebags that go out and do the evil bidding of people like you who like to wind them up like toys and let them do their worst."

On Jan. 6, supporters of President Donald Trump flooded the Capitol Building as Congress counted the electoral votes to certify President-elect Joe Biden's win. The rioters clashed with police and the incident left several people dead and numerous injured.

The Sorbo-led Hercules ran for six seasons from 1995-1999. A three-episode arc in '95 helped launch the Lawless-starring Xena spinoff, which ran for six seasons until 2001. The two characters even came together for the 1998 direct-to-video film Hercules and Xena - The Animated Movie: The Battle for Mount Olympus.
