Apple TV+ has released an official teaser trailer for Luck, an original animated feature film starring the voices of Eva Noblezada (Easter Sunday) and Simon Pegg (Star Trek Beyond).

Set to hit Apple TV+ on Friday, Aug. 5, Luck follows Sam Greenfield (Noblezada), the unluckiest person in the world, on an adventure with Bob (Pegg), a Scottish black cat who works at the Land of Luck, a secret organization responsible for creating the lucky (and unlucky) moments experienced by humans. The film's teaser trailer -- humorously released on Friday, May 13 -- serves to introduce audiences to the Land of Luck and its inner workings.

Think you know about luck? Thankfully, Bob the Cat is about to drop some truth. From Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation comes Luck, streaming August 5, exclusively on Apple TV+

Luck is a co-production between Apple Original Films, Skydance Animation and Skydance Animation Madrid. The film is directed by Peggy Holmes (The Little Mermaid: Ariel's Beginning, The Pirate Fairy) from a screenplay by Kiel Murray (Cars) and the duo of Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger (Kung Fu Panda, The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water).

In addition to Noblezada and Pegg, Luck stars the voices of Jane Fonda (Klute, Coming Home) as The Dragon, Whoopi Goldberg (Star Trek: Picard) as The Captain, Flula Borg (The Suicide Squad) as Jeff, Lil Rel Howery (Free Guy) as Marv, Colin O'Donoghue (The Right Stuff) as Gerry, John Ratzenberger (Toy Story) as Rootie and Adelynn Spoon as Hazel. Following the teaser trailer, additional footage from the film is expected to be revealed at this year's Annecy International Animation Film Festival in June.

Skydance Animation previously produced Blush, a short film that premiered on Apple TV+ in October 2021. In addition to Luck, the animation studio has two additional projects currently in the works for Apple's streaming platform: another feature film titled Spellbound and a television series based on Tony DiTerlizzi's 2010 children's fantasy novel The Search for WondLa, both of which currently lack a release date. (Spellbound was previously slated for Nov. 11 when Paramount was attached as the distributor.) Skydance Animation and Skydance Animation Madrid are also working on two more films, Pookoo and Ray Gunn, though it remains to be seen who will distribute them.
