The final season of Lucifer is approaching, promising a climactic conclusion to the story of the Devil and his world-changing romance with detective Chloe Decker. While fans can expect to see many of the show's characters, such as Mazikeen, Amenadiel and Eve, to return, they might be surprised to find that actress Tricia Helfer is also expected to make an appearance in Season 5.

According to TVLine, Helfer recently filmed her final appearance as Charlotte Richards on the show. Curiously, her costume for this season is quite unlike anything we've seen before. Instead of the simple but elegant business attire the character usually wore, Richards can be seen sporting a look that wouldn't be out of place in the 1950s. What this means for Lucifer and his inner circle is unclear.

Richards last appeared in Season 3, struggling to find redemption and come to terms with her fear of returning to Hell. Having just found peace, thanks in part to the guidance of Amenadiel, she was unintentionally murdered by Marcus Pierce and her soul was taken to Heaven. Her return to the series raises questions, such as: will fans get to see the show's depiction of Heaven?

While no official release date has been announced, Lucifer Season 5 is expected to be available for streaming on Netflix in 2020.

Written by Joe Henderson and Ildy Modrovich, Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as the Devil, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith, Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez, and newcomer Inbar Lavi as Eve. Seasons 1-4 are currently available on Netflix.
