Based on the Vertigo/DC Comics character of the same name created by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg for the Sandman universe, Lucifer originally premiered on Fox in 2016 and was canceled after three seasons. Netflix revived Lucifer for Season 4 and subsequently renewed it for Season 5. Season 5A hit Netflix this past August, with Season 5B set to arrive on Friday, May 28. Season 5 was originally announced as the series' last, though Lucifer was ultimately renewed following continued negotiations, and is now slated to conclude with Season 6.

Lucifer stars Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar, Lauren German as Det. Chloe Decker, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin, Kevin Alejandro as Det. Dan Espinoza, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen Smith and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez. Season 5 is currently streaming on Netflix. Season 5B arrives May 28.
